Around the corner from my apartment in London a coffee shop owner
has displayed his collection of old cameras. I recognize a number of
them from my youth and even owned some of them. Not a very
valuable collection but still interesting to see.
Cool, cameras that made wall art are now wall art! 😂👍

Lots of people like to display their high end cameras to impress others, in many cases, the touted 1%. Here is a display of “user” cameras for the other 99%. The display is unusual, attractive and, more to the point, educational in that it shows the real cameras that many of us “antiquegraphers” actually used. A pleasure to look at! How’s the coffee?
Nice collection. I wonder how he attached them.
nice collection. I have several around my house but not a collector, most are ones from my father or ones I bought over the years and used.
It would be interesting to know how these cameras were attached to the board.
Could you ask the owner how he did it?
Thanks
and it's amazing how many of them produced "tack" sharpe images.
Geez, I’m old. I recognize and can name many of them 😬

Valuable or not, still an impressive collection.

Oh, they’re valuable, Dean. They may not have an impressive monetary value, but their placement in the history of everyday photography and the evolution they represent are invaluable.

My comment regarding “value” was based on the poster’s statement: “Not a very
valuable collection but still interesting to see.” I agree they have significant intrinsic value.

I understand what you said. I just think the OP should know how valuable such a collection can be to us, the viewers. But, I still want to know if the coffee is worth the trip.
