Hello fellow Hoggers. I've been reading the contributions for months, but this is my first inquiry. I'd like to know if your using HD LED TV for a monitor is it still nessesary to calibrate it or is it even possible?

I have been doing likewise as a secondary monitor but have.been advised that the quality will not be as good as a good monitor.
Very interested in the responses you get.

Not a really good idea. TVs are not made for accurate representation of chroma or luma values. At least with the calibration software I use, calibration is not possible.

If you have a calibration kit, try calibrating it and profiling it and see!

They don't have the same picture quality as a monitor, the 4K TV's neither!
