This is a panorama I shot at the beach from 9th floor of condo. We live close to the beach and I have hundreds of sunset pictures. There was very little touch up, just enough to bring out the colors a bit more. Originals shot with ISO1600; 75mm; f4.8 and 1/125. I have other shots in this series at lower ISO and different lens combination doing experiments. Cannot linger long over sunset shots, colors quickly fade away.

Winter dawn shoot Catherine hill Bay, NSW, Australia
Canon EOS 40D + EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens
1/2000 @ ƒ/5.6 and ISO 400

Fair bit of PPing to bring out the light.
Mostly Topaz Adjust with just a selective touch of Topaz Simplify for the spray (it has been a while). The original raw file and the scene itself looked pretty good.

Winter waves.

The photos below were taken with my Olympus C2000Z digital camera in 1999.
This trip was the first time that I had used the digital "mirrorless" camera.
The photo of the Helicone(not sure of the full name), was shot in color and the B&W version was done in PSP I believe.
The flowers in Hawaii are very impressive and since then we have been back to the islands several times.
I think the coloring is about spot on, but the B&W just gives it another look all together.
What do you think.
