Welcome to UUHs and congratulations on making it to retirement. Your shot of Mt. Rainer is very good and I enjoy it. Some day I hope to make it to that area to take some of my own pictures of it.
Since you are retired, take your time in deciding how best to move foward. There are lots of different areas of photography (portrait, sports, scenic, etc.) and lots of equipment to shoot it with. Learning to be a photographer is a life long hobby or job; there is always something more to be learned pass the basics. As you progress, l suggest changing the kit lenses out for better lenses first, and then upgrade your body. That way you will be able to take better photos right away while the technology in the bodies gets even better. Of course, it comes down to how far you want to go and how much money you will be willing to spend. Anyway, welcome to a "hobby" that some of us will never leave.
Good start.

Welcome to The UHH! Nice shot of Mt. Rainier. We have Mt. Shasta here in CA that photographs much the same.
Welcome to UHH Keith, glad you joined us. Congratulations on your retirement. I retired about 4 years ago. Good first post, like the reflection in the image.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.
