I have been using these cards with great success. I tried to reorder them from B&H and noticed they were "discontinued". Adorama still has them but at about 30% more than I paid last spring. Does anyone have any insight into this and can you suggest comparable alternatives? Thanks.

Micron (parent company) is getting out of the retail business and discontined Lexar.
A while back it was announced another company was buying the Lexar product and brand name rights and will keep producing and selling them.

Looks like you came to the rescue on this request. He better buy more than just one.

I’m guessing this is a “bump in the road” as Lexar changes ownership ... but I’m also guessing I’d purchase several, just to be safe, if I were the one who needed them.

Not all cameras can take advantage of the UHS II speed. Make sure your camera is suitable before spending the extra money.

Thanks, but I knew that already. I buy Class 10 SD Cards. Usually SanDisk or Lexar. I have plenty on hand.
Thanks for the info and link Robert.

Is "UHS II" or "1000X" the important number when looking at camera memory? In any case, purchasing memory that is "too fast" doesn't hurt anything {other than possibly the pocketbook}

Surprisingly, they're still making cards, but only one type of SD card - QXD, QED, XYZ??? Not sure of the type. I posted a link a couple of days ago.

Thanks Jerry. I think I'll switch to SanDisk or recycle my old cards.

To my happy surprise, Lexar was at Photo Plus East two weeks ago. I was told that we should expect to start to see new supplies by month's end (November) with full availability shortly after that. Lexar was bought by the company that manufactured their products when they were owned by Micron, so startup and re-stocking should be smooth for them. Once I heard that Micron was selling the brand, I did buy a few extra XQD cards to weather the storm. Best of luck to Lexar, and to those of us who depend upon them!
