Hello, fellow hoggers. Just wondering if any of you Mac users have had this problem: I did the latest software update to my MacBook (about 7 years old) a couple of days ago. I immediately noticed that the colors on my screen saver, as well as even the color of this UHH page and photos in the gallery are slightly "faded" and seem to have a blue-ish cast, sort of like something that has been left in the sun too long, or like some old slides I have seen. I haven't talked to Apple or googled the problem yet. Just thought I'd check with y'all while it's on my mind. Wondering if it could be the fault of the update, or perhaps a sign of "old age" on my computer. Otherwise, it seems to be working fine. Thanks for your input.
There are various ways to calibrate your monitor - search on “calibrate monitor” or “calibrate display”.

Just tried it. It's back to normal again! Thank you.
Thanks for the suggestion, peterg. If necessary, I am sure my son can do this. He's an Apple nerd and has already added extra memory to my MacBook.
Thanks, jerry. You always have very helpful responses.

Yes. Same skill level needed. MacSales/OWC has videos. Save the optical drive to re-install later if desired.
Check out the Spyder product line from
http://www.datacolor.com/ Though, I've heard that color calibration of laptops can be dubious at times.

Before you jump to any conclusions, click the following sequence: "System Preferences", "Displays" than "Color". Now click "Calibrate". Follow the steps and the color gamut of your screen will be reset to it's native settings. That might solve the problem. Please let me know what happens.
I have never had a problem on either of my MacBook, or MacBookAir. Calibration is in order. Shouldn't be hard to fix.
