I monitor an eagle nest for the Audubon and occasionally get some photos worth looking at, well, in my opinion!! Female eagle giving her opinion to an osprey after having just been dive bombed by the osprey.

A nice one Barbara. When you post a picture it's helpful if you will check the box 'store original' next to the 'add attachment' button. That allows us to open the 'download' for better viewing. What camera/lens combination did you use? Well done!

Sorry about that. I'm also a novice at this website!! I used my Nikon D3400 with a tamron 150-600 lens. Always have my camera set on auto.

Here's another photo I have taken of the eagle pair. Male on left, female on right.

Beautiful photos. It looks like the Eagle is really telling off the Osprey that dive bombed it in the first shot.

Good shots. The first photo is much sharper than the second. Sometimes it is hard to get everyone in clear focus with multiple subjects being at different distances. A higher f stop helps with this.

I don't fool with that stuff, and truthfully, it's because I don't know how to on my Nikon D3400!!! Thanks for the advice though. When "shooting" these beautiful creatures, point and click multiple shots and hope for the best!!

But you can do so much more and it's not difficult at all. Give it a try Barbara.

Nice shots. Did you use a tripod? I just picked up the Tamron 150-600 G2 a week ago. The only birds I have shot so far follow. It's a beast to handhold. The plane with a tripod and gimble head. Egret handheld. Both started RAW.

No tripod or monopod. I have both but never use them. I find them limiting and awkward. I just click away and sometimes I get a good photo. I have 111,700 photos on my MAC!!

The plane is much sharper than the egret.

Like I said it's a beast to handhold. I'll get used to it in a couple weeks. I need to remember to turn on the VR and crank the shutter speed up.

These are very nice Barbara! You have access to some wonderful subjects and the potential for a lot of fun here. I'm looking forward to more.
