Hello;
Any UHH member have any experience with Topaz?
I purchased the software, (off of an offer for "free trial for 30 days") I received an activation key (long number,) and no matter if I paste it in the box, (as instructed,) OR type it in, (with or without the dashes,) I get a prompt of "activation key not valid." (It also states that the key is "free trial for 30 days," but I have already paid for it.) I tried to get help online from them, but they are asking for a LOT of my system info. (computer, or server,) that I don't understand. I tried a phone number but was put on hold, and also asked the same questions. I only want to have access. Anyone with suggestions on what I can do??? Thanks.

I use most of their plugins and have never had any problems. I'm assuming that you've clicked on "Menu" in the bottom left on most plugins, and then clicked on "Enter key". Otherwise, all I can suggest is that you log into their website and look up your activation codes to check you've got the right ones. I'm afraid I can't be more specific without knowing which ones you've got.

Thanks for your reply.
Where do I find their list of activation codes on their Website?
And I haven't gotten that far to SEE "menu" I'm at the "purchase screen" where I paid, then was sent a key to activate the bundled software I purchased.

Have you downloaded the trial version? If not download it now and go to "menu from there.

I've asked for help from Topaz on line. Only pertinent info is asked for -platform ,operating system. Why can't you give them that info.
Make sure the box where the key is put is has no other info there. Do a delete in the box before putting in the key. (I had that problem)

I hate it when that happens, and it's not unusual. You should be able to buy software and use it. Email Topaz and hope for the best. I've never been locked out of a program because of problems with key numbers.

As stated above you need to register on their site and make sure they acknowledge your purchase there - they will also list your serial (activation)#. If the trial is not working, I would perhaps delete it and reinstall. Some of their programs require the Studio to work and for you to open it as a stand-alone first before using as a plug-in (if you are using as a plug-in).
Off their page:
1. Make sure that you are copying (Command ⌘/Control + C) and pasting (Command ⌘/Control + V) your license key rather than typing it.

2. Please verify that your 30-digit license key is in the correct format. A valid license key will be all numerical and in the following format: "xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx"

3. 13 digit registration keys will not be accepted. These keys must be registered on our Registration Page in order to receive a 30 digit license key that can be entered into the program.

4. Please verify that you are entering the key in the Activation Code/License Key field and not the Your Name field

5. Check to make sure you have not accidentally copied an additional space in the license key, which exceeds the number of characters allowed.

Do you have other pp programs such as PSE. If so go to it and check to see if it is in your filter section of that program....Rich

On the bright side, when you do get it going, you'll be wondering why you were finding it so difficult.
