While trying to save my photos, through a FileHub+, I somehow erased all 3 days of my African Safari. The card has not been reformatted. Is there any way to salvage them???

Do a quick web search for Unerase. There are a number of file recovery programs available.

Good luck.

Recuva is one program I find works well. Your files are still on the card, just the directory allowing you access to them has been erased. Without the directory, the card is telling the camera that those files can be overwritten.

I've never had that problem. Yet. However, reading past uhh posts on this problem, some on this forum have recommended "Recuva," a free download software. You didn't mention the Brand Name of your SD card. Some have recovery for their brand. Such as Lexar or SanDisk. Lexar SD cards are discontinued, but may still have recovery. Good luck.

Recuva again!

Should be free. Erase, delete and format...none of these take the files off the drive. They just change/add a unique character on the file name. The files can then be overwritten in time. They remain available to recovery software if you get to them before future files overwrite them as the space is needed.

Recuva is one of the best in photos.

I believe that Lexar's parent company was moving away from the flash drive business. The brand has been sold to the manufacturer who actually makes Lexar cards, so the continuity should be seamless. You can still purchase Lexar cards from Adorama, B&H, etc.

If not recuva testdisk or photorec are superb you can also make a disk image and recover from that. It's more of a forensics tool.

You can still purchase a Brand New Nikon D3300, but the camera has been discontinued. No longer in production. You sell them until they are gone.

That is true about discontinued anything, however, Lexar cards were never actually discontinued. Micron ceased their Lexar retail operations and has now sold it to the manufacturer that made the cards for Micron. The sellers mentioned still have stock and any new stock will continue from the same original source. Only Micron is out of the loop, moving in a different direction.

I don't dispute what you said. I read a June 2017 article on Improve Photography Website, that Micron got out of the Lexar memory card business because it was not a great money maker for them. They are moving on to bigger and more profitable items. Perhaps the new company will continue Lexar as we know it now. I have some Lexar SD cards going back 8 years, and as low as 4gb.

I do too. My cards are CF then and now CF and SD. Hope the OP has good luck in recovering his files. Apologies for taking a tangent from the original question.

YES! My daughter did that one year - we downloaded a recovery program and were able to recover about 90% of her photos.
