Can anyone recommend their favorite Photoshop CC book? I have some experience, but I've been away for a while and can't remember how I did a number of things. Looking for a good book on the subject.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately it was for Lightroom, which I don't use. I learned Photoshop from the beginning and have never really gotten into Lightroom even though I do have it installed.

A very good online and paper copy book is The Enthusiats Guide to Photoshop Essentials. It also comes with practice picture files so you can work on the same images. It is a great book to get you started. The online is available now. Check Amazon. The paper copy will come out in December.

Terry White has a great compliation of learning Photoshop videos on YouTube. He is clear, easy to understand, and has a demeanor that invites your attention. This is free and certaintly worth a try. There is also Lynda.com. It does cost money after the free trial period. If you are a member of your public library you can get it for free. The practice files only come with the paid version. Julianne Kost is very good.

Take learning a step at a time or it will overwhelm you. I learned many of my techniques from Phlearn YouTube videos. Taking a lesson and applying it to one of my photos while going back and forth to his YouTube video. I have watched some videos from Tony & Chelsea but their delivery is just to slow and uninspiring and I fall to sleep while watching them.
There are many other people giving lessons on YouTube that will help you. What I do now is go to YouTube and type in an area of interest, like masking hair or using Clone tool in Photoshop click and videos are displayed to access and learn peoples techniques. YouTube is a great tool, give it a shot.
