How can I avoid the wrinkles of the background showing in the pictures?

I have all kinds of materials for backgrounds, but seems that there is no way to iron them all...

any suggestions?

Place the subject a suitable distance from the background and use a very shallow DOF.

How about using a wide aperture like f/2.8 and place your subject 3-4 feet from the background. And use a 50 mm lens if you have a crop camera, 85 if you have full frame. That should do the trick.

Yes, that can be frustrating. The trick is to buy the right material. I have microfiber shirts that never wrinkle.

I have one of these: < https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l2632.R2.TR2.TRC1.A0.H0.Xprofessional+clothe+steamer.TRS0&_nkw=professional+clothes+steamer&_sacat=299 >

Great item if you do need wrinkle free backgrounds. Cheers! Ed

Possibly you could use a steamer or spritz the material with some water from a spray bottle and give it a quick hit with a hair dryer.

Roll you backgrounds on a tube instead of folding and use a steamer if you have access to electricity.

All my backgrounds are rolled onto a 1 1/4" round handrail. Works like a charm. But with the right lightning technique and distance, all will be gone.

Maybe you should give seamless background paper a try. I've used it for years and make custom backgrounds with fast dry spray paints. I store them in the box they come in or inside a pvc tube. I have several backgrounds that are thirty years old. The paint still looks good, but the paper is getting brittle with age. Some rolls have more than one painted background. This makes for a quick background change. I find it fun making these backgrounds. The good thing is, it's easy to fix your mistakes by just spraying over them and start over. Some of these paper are sold by Amazon, so if you have prime you can get free shipping.
