Canon Pro 100 printer down to $60 - Half the price of a full set of inks - B&H and maybe others

I had purchased one for $80 net with discounts and $250 AMEX gift card from B&H a while ago and now it is at $60 until December 31. And my experience is that it comes with a full supply of ink (retail at $120 for the 8 cartridges). The only problem is where to stack the extra units after removing the ink from the big box with the printer. You may need a Promo Code: 354215925998598425

It is a mean thing to do, but in WA State, Best Buy will "properly recycle" broken printers.

Caution: Canon is pretty careful about how they process the rebate. If you already bought one printer on the rebate deal, you may not get it on the second. You could have all your friends buy printers for you and have a lifetime supply of ink and paper!

$250 Amex cards might be good gifts for your loved ones!

These deals usually last a month or so and one can purchase one printer per time frame of the deal. Then the deal gets repeated the next month. Usually the deal is net $129 - sometimes $80 - but this is the first I have seen $60!

Yeah, I've been watching it come down in price from $100 four years ago. This model leaves a lot to be desired in print quality and was over-produced by Canon and reviews are not so good, so it's been a giveaway.
Canon's huge ten time markup on inks is where they make their bank.
Three years ago I opted for the then new Canon iP8720 ($275) and have since made 400-500 8.5"
X 11" and tens of 13" X 19" prints with Inks bought from an ebay vendor at 1/10th the cost.
with very good salable quality. It is a top quality consumer printer with near pro results.
There's been no service problems and produces consistent results. The next step up is Canon's pro line to $1,000 after rebate to improve the print quality, or a comparable Epson.
I'm closer to taking that step up soon.

My experience has been exactly the opposite for a few years of owning and using the Pro-100. Print quality has never been disappointing. It does use dye ink. The price per cartridge is about $17. Use and other references make me think it is about the same cost for ink and paper as is premium commercial prints. If ink or print cost is the primary need, the Pro-100 has been out long enough that cheap third party alternatives have become available.

It's good to hear from a satisfied owner, but they still couldn't give me one I'd take, as the Pixma iP8720 is so much better and now on sale for $50 less than I paid when it was first released.
