As you can see, tank “C” will flow directly into tank “J” because there’s no actual connection between the “C” and “D” tank.
Then, “J” will flow downward into tank “L.”
From there, the water will drop below and fill tank “F.” There’s no actual connection from “L” to “H,” you’ll notice.
There are actually the connections you mentioned - but some here made the "correct interpretation" of the diagram and some did not for a lack of legend of "connection types". And, yes, it is obvious when the "correct interpretation" of the diagram is explained. And as someone else posted, if A does not fill past its outlet level no tank will fill. Perhaps this was not illustrated by a "genius".
