Sooo ..... husband and I went up to the camera shop in Boardman, Ohio to get the sensor on my 7200 cleaned and to check out the Tamron 18-400 lens (an early Christmas present). Well, I made the mistake of asking if it will work on a 7500 if I ever decided to upgrade ..... one thing led to another and I ended up coming home with both that lens and a new 7500!! My husband really spoils me and I really, really do appreciate him!

If that shop's been there like forever, I 've been there. Back in ancient times, like before digital. Was a nice place.

It's JM Camera and yes, it's been there a very long time. We've been there several times and always had good service.

I know what you mean about the sewing machines - back in the day when I was really into sewing I succumbed to peer pressure and got a Pfaff that was the price of a good used car! It all works out in the end, though, as Husband is into woodworking and it seems like every project needs a new tool!

I'm really glad I got to upgrade - as much as I liked the 7200 it was grey market from 42nd Street (I didn't know any better then!) and it also had more than 38,000 clicks in the two years I had it. Even so, I got $400 trade-in which took away a bit of the sting and since it was purchased from a certified Nikon dealer it can be repaired by Nikon if it is ever needed.

Check out Bernina and Brother current machines, $$$, as for wood working I bought mostly Harbor Freight as I got older, now I have no room to put any more projects.

It was a wise idea to get rid of the gray market D7200. The D7500 is a better camera than the D7200. A lot was made about it not having the dual SD card slots. No big deal to me. And the Tamron 18-400mm lens has praises from camera reviews and uhh members. Enjoy both.

Did your husband really buy the story about getting the sensor cleaned? Well played Sue!

Congrats on the new gear. And, Merry Christmas.

Hahaaa!! I'm dying here!!! Actually, we intended to get the sensor cleaned before our upcoming trip to Edinburgh although I've been kinda wanting to check out (get) the lens - buying the camera just "happened" - I did a lot of saying, "get thee behind me" to both the sales rep and my husband before giving in to what I really wanted!!

Merry Christmas to you!!
