Photo's taken on a visit to Hawaii last year. Thought it would be appropriate since its coming up on that time of year. Last photo was taken from open door helicopter ride over the Island. The words printed on the sidewalk of the Utah Memorial was for identification for a calendar I did for my family, not a post card LOL. Not many now about the Utah Memorial as its on Ford Island and believe you need Military ID to enter, I'm retired.
USS Arizona Memorial
USS Missouri
USS Utah Memorial on Ford Island
USS Arizona and USS Missouri/Helo Ride
The USS Arizona Memorial is a must on anyone's bucket list, imho. I have been there several times and am always humbled being in the presence where such a momentous time in our history occurred.
Very nice series and images.

Thank You.....yes it's a very humbling place. Knowing there are many souls interned beneath your feet and in the waters all around you.....
A good series of photographs.
Well taken.
I have visited the memorial, very moving.

Impressive images, ps5039.
Very nice series of photos. I've never been to Hawaii, but I'm always moved by photos of the USS Arizona. It is hard to imagine the number of souls encased in the ship under the memorial.

My uncle was one of the last few USS Arizona survivors. He passed away a couple years back. He was blown off the deck into the water, one of the few "lucky" Arizona crewmen. His story was incredilbe to hear and I never grew tired of it.
Great shots. I love the composition and the bright colors. God bless you.
The Navy will intern ashes of those who served during the attack on the sunken ships.

That is what my uncle chose to do when he passed. I wasn't at the ceremony but was sent a video. Very moving.
Excellent images, ps5039!
