This is the back of a old converted house into a retail art store. It was a rainy day and as I was getting into my car the rain stopped and the back of the store caught my eye. There really isn't much color in the original shot so it screamed to be converted over to B/W.

Looks quite good, Frank. I like that it is not shot straight on. You seem to have walked around and looked for a good angle because that flag is right at the upper left intersection for rule of thirds. I think I would clone out the electrical box and whatever is next to it on the lower right.

Thanks for sharing your ideas. My wife mentioned getting rid of those items. I spent a lot of time getting rid of an air conditioning unit and a hose spool. Once I did that I cloned the center bush so the base of the house would not be so plain

THAT is an interesting shot. Lots of detail for the eye to bounce around and look at.

Some people would kill for that old wood siding. So for me it made for an interesting structure. It begged me to take the shot.

And the Christmas lights and the star... as I said lots of detail. Good eye Frank.

Some people put their cameras away and hide when the clouds roll in. But there are great opportunities during changing weather.

My wife is a trooper, a little rain is not going to stop her. So We were out and about. We throw on our ponchos and go at it. A little luck was with me. It stopped raining long enough to get the shot

House? It looks more like a barn to me. Nice angle on the photo, at any rate.

Thanks Neil, with the overcast day and the rustic wood the only color were the flags and the star.

Yes it does look like it could be a barn, but if you saw the front on the building you would know at one time it was a house. Thanks for your stopping by and giving me your thoughts
