I took the following pictures while on tour in France (these pics were taken in Rouen and Paris). I like the pics even though they have a lot of stuff going on - no centralized focus. Just wondering what others felt about such pics - are they interesting or just too much to look at?
I think they look great. Thanks for posting.
Dan
If you like them, then they're good. A couple of things you could try:
Crop the first one to remove the light coming in from the upper corners - the back light draws my eyes away from the central arch; it appears you can retain the statues on either side of the main arch with a crop, even though you'd lose the framing of the outer arches. Could try keystoning, but you'll lose a lot on the outside - try these and see whether you like the results more; if not, keep it.
For the second, the awning on the lower left and the balcony on the right don't really add much - consider cropping those out so the focus of the image becomes more the arch and the steeple in the background.
For the third, perhaps you focus on the kiosk with the ads on the left, with the blurred cyclist now riding out of the scene to the right. You'll have the cyclist's head just below "Sud-express", which might work.
The fourth and fifth are, even with a lot going on, interesting because of that.
Give it a shot and post your crops!

Thanks so much. I like the diversity of the pic - so much going on you have to look at it to see anything.

I did give your suggestions a try and I like the way both of them turned out - better than the originals! Thanks again for the help.

Is the last one a picture of "love locks" on a bridge?

Yes it is - Pont Neuf I believe, although many bridges had locks on them but this was the highest concentration. Below is another long view of the locks.

It's Pont des Arts...
I went back and checked and these pictures were taken on Pont Neuf. You are correct that Pont des Arts was the initial site of the "love locks" but the city of Paris had to remove all of them because their weight threatened to damage the bridge. Here's a website that tells more about it:
https://nolovelocks.com/faq/ . I found locks in many different places throughout Paris.
