My wife and I visited an old friend in a nursing home a few months ago. She is 93 years young. She had this very large and old fading picture of her sisters and brothers taken back when she was three years old. The picture was worn and cracked in the corners and some discoloring thoughout. I offered to take the old picture home and would try to take a picture of it to fit a small frame. I did not do anything to the picture other than take a shot of it. The results made her cry and she now wants me to make a few copies for her still living brother and sisters.

you did a wonderfull thing. if you have elements or ps by using the smart healing brush you can eliminate all the wrinkeled lines. If you like i could take a crack at it.

thanks MadMike.. I would be pleased for you to try your best. To have that original picture appear wrinkle free would be a wonderful Idea. Even to compare pictures and give to her would be a blessing indeed.

Hey MadMike..It would be difficult to tell one from the other ( after touch ups ) and I really appreciate what you did to the picture. I think I may just give her both of the upgraded pictures I will print one 5x7 and one 8x10, framed of course. That way she can put one in her living room and one in her bedroom. May God bless you for assisting someone like me that has liminted tools and making Janet happy too.

Thank you Joyfullee...

It brings back to mind when my Mother was in a nursing home and we went to visit her from Chicago down to Tennessee many years ago. She had not spoken to anyone for at least six years or more before the day we visited. My Dad would visit her once a week to be with her. After walking with her in the garden behind the nursing home and everyone else had said their goodbye's I kneeled down in front of her while she set on the side of her bed. "Mother we are going now I want you to promise me that you will behave your self!" She got a twinkle in her eyes looked at me, smiled and said; "I always do!" Needles to say as soon as I walked outside I lost it.
