Lightroom installation

I installed the new LIghtroom CC and Classic. Classic up and running and looks like the older version. Lightroom CC when I click to run it, it just spins like it's trying to load something. I must have done something wrong. I use a Mac...

Maybe you got the LRcat file in the wrong place and it cannot find it.

It helps if I'm logged in.... I had to log out then log back in. All fine now. Kind of feel like a dummy. LOL

LOL, I thought I was logged in. LR Classic worked from the get go. Anyway, all good and looking forward to working with it.

You might want to see this to better understand the difference between the Classic and CC versions. I don’t plan to store in the cloud and don’t really edit mobile, so the Classic is all I need. https://photographylife.com/lightroom-classic-vs-lightroom-cc

Actually it (logging out and back in) seems to be a common approach when having trouble loading the updated programs, the Adobe tech told me to do that at one point when I had to call them, so don't feel bad. Somehow it seems to work.

I need to read up on the two new versions and decide if I need the cc version. I don’t store in the cloud or do much with mobile. I just want the classic(like the old cc version) and make it easy to move or bring along my presets and plugins.
