You can draw with the art lens and you can take the sports lens swimming with you.
Seriously, it's the manufactures attempt to persuade you to buy their lens, it's marketing. Sometimes the sport is used to denote moisture resistance, but they should just say it's weather sealed, some times they use sport to denote it's intended use, FOR SPORTS. Personally I use Nikon, Sony, Minolta, and Canon lenses, they don't have to use additional names to sell their glass, it is good enough to stand on it's own.
It's pretty much a marketing ploy from third party lenses, like Sigmas 150-600mm. It was designed for sports, and it could also be used for wildlife photography. Action sports generally need great lenses that are fast with quality glass. Canon, Nikon, and Sony lenses fall into that category. They don't need a designation of "Sports Lens." They are what they are.
