Refurbished is always my first choice. Prices and availability can vary, so shop around. Cameta usually has good deals on refurbs, with an extended warranty.
Good Morning,
Yes, I bought my d750 refurb from B&H. No regrets whatsoever. Had it now for 2 1/2 years with never a hic-up.
I purchased one direct from Nikon. Great camera, but it was recalled by Nikon to replace shutter. I just got it back from Nikon yesterday.
I purchased my Canon T6i DSLR and my HF G-20 camcorder refurbished directly from Canon. They both perform flawlessly. Check out the Canon website and search for "refurbished Cameras" or even lenses. Often Canon will sell their refurbished products for less than online retailers.
Yes,and I have not been disappointed. One caveat, I would be wary of a refurbished anything if it was a 2nd party refurb.
I have two D750s, one purchased new from B&H and the other a refurb from Cameta with 2200 shutter clicks. I can’t tell them apart without looking at the serial number. Subsequently both were recalled for a shutter replacement so now they are identical at least shutter wise. These are great cameras. As jerryc41 stated Cameta provides you with their extended 9 month warranty beyond Nikon’s standard 3 month factory warranty. I bought mine from Cameta on his recommendation. Thanks Jerry.

I’ve purchased cameras and lenses that were refurbished. Latest was D500 and 200-500mm lens. Saved some money and works great. The camera had very low shutter count.
Factory refurbished cameras and gear normally go through quality control so that they can be certified as a factory refurbished unit.

Most refurbished camera's are put through the same testing as if they were just manufactured. No additional measures are used unless something pops up during the testing. Many, many, refurbished camera's are returned because the consumer just didn't like something about the camera, NOT THAT IT WAS NOT WORKING. That's why shutter counts vary so greatly. Some only have a few, others a few hundred, sometimes more. Refurbished camera's are generally a good deal, but I like the one year warranty that comes with new ones.
I have bought refurb cameras from Olympus and Cameta, never from B&H. I never had a complain and knowning the excellent reputation of B&H I doubt it if you will have any issues with them.

They stand behind their product but for a very short period. Like Nikon it seems to be 90 days.
Usually if you use a camera for up to 90 days, it most likely will last 9 more months. I'm speaking about the 90 day refurbished warranty vs the brand new camera one year warranty. Go for the refurbished and save some money.
Now iff they just had a refurbished Nikon D850...
