In an earlier post, I included a photo. of a Gulf Fritillary (butterfly) and asked for comments and suggestions. The responses were helpful and I have attempted to calm down the saturation in my more recent attempts to create butterfly portraits. The following are some of my more recent efforts. Again I ask for your suggestions for improvement. From top to bottom the butterflies are Monarch, Painted Lady and Cloudless Sulfur.

The lens I used to take these photos. was a Sigma DG 150-500mm mounted on my Nikon D7000. The "oven" I used to edit them was Pixlr, a free, online editor I use to crop and make minor adjustments.

These are excellent captures. Good DOF, sharp and the colors are just right. These are varieties I see in my garden and I really enjoyed your captures!

Don’t mind him. There is nothing wrong with posting pictures in this forum. The only person in charge is the ADMIN. Evidently he is ok with it.
Nice pictures!
A very beautiful set, Zooljwt!
