I started my recent morning at Blowing Rocks with a visit to the Jupiter lighthouse.
I sat on a floating dock, alone in the silence and darkness of 5:00 a.m. on a Florida Morning. The lighthouse appeared to be floating on a lone island in the night. The sky was still littered with stars and I noted the ray of the lighthouse seemed to point to eternity. Life always goes on. Hope is provided.
I hope this image brightens everyone's day (especially you Sirius)
Thanks so much for looking.
Please view in the download { so you can see the stars :-) }
Yippee---- My 8001st post!!!
Beautiful - love the green reflections.
That's really nice. I really like the reflections. And how did you get light on the tree trunks so nicely? Does the lighthouse light them? I guess I would think the beam was too high for that.
Very nice,I have always wanted to shot that lighthouse and Blowing Rocks Your images make me want to go sooner than later.
I think my friend, Sirius, will seriously love this image, as do I!!
Beautiful colors and love the reflection!!

Thanks for looking and commenting. The lighthouse has lights on the grounds that are really there to light the lighthouse tower. The spill from those lights give the plants and trees some light and that is the result you see here.

There is a better location two bridges west of the lighthouse. There is a little road side park accessed from the north bound side of the road. The park is used by fishermen. You will get a good view of the lighthouse and it will be framed by a beautifully lit bridge. You will need about a 200 mm lens to make the capture.
Good luck.
Very nice. The reflections are great.
