Ttl flash triggering manual slaves?

Just bought a flashpoint iTTL zoom r2 flash and like it so far. I also bought the r2 master and slave modules to move the flash off camera. So far so good. In ttl mode, do the slave flashes also need to be ttl or can they be manual and the master set the power?

Are the slave modules TTL capable and matched to the R2 master? If they are only manual, you can only use the master to trigger (if they are talking the same language) the flash to fire. Any power changing has to be done manually on the flash. I think that is what you are asking?

With the Pocket Wizard flex system, I set my flashes to TTL, but on the controller I can switch each group to off, TTL or manual. Then dial in FEC to each group whether it is manual or TTL. Is that what you are hoping to do?
