Nicely done. I think Edgar's either traveled or has a relative visiting near me.

Don’t know how they tell each other apart but I suspect there are more than six degrees of separation between Edgar and your guy.
He was not having a good day. An anhinga kept popping up behind him swallowing the fish he was waiting for.
Nice shot. You could title it "Edgar's Discontent".
A very beautiful Egret, Scotty!
Thank you kpmac, rlaugh, photophile, Swamp-Cork and jerryc41. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Edgar provided a good argument for not needing a high resolution camera (16 MP) or very long lens (75-300 f/4.5-5.6, $133 used from KEH).
Most of the 40+ shots turned out fine - in focus and closely framed. It helped that he was hardly moving.
You captured Edgar so well, Scotty! I love the second one especially with the reflection and his beak is open...is he talking to you?

Thank you. He never uttered a sound.
