Hi Folks, after some thought, I decided to go ahead and post some of my Magic Kingdom photos. My wife and I purchased 1 day passes last September. Now these are by no means to be considered great photos, I'm just a guy who loves to take pictures. Still, this set gives one an idea of what it's like to visit the Park. I hope those who may never get to come, will enjoy these as well. First of all, the weather was very cloudy most of the day. It did rain on us twice during out 8 hour stay. Upon arrival at 9am we were directed to board the Ferry because the Monorail was out of service.
Those are the only two ways to get into the Park. Once across the lake and into the park, we bought our tickets and headed out. But first, since we're both handicapped, we stopped to rent an electric scooter that we both shared off and on. The crowd was thick, even that early in the morning and remained thick with people all day long. We ate breakfast at the Crystal Palace Buffet, where we were visited by Winnie-the-Poo and his gang. Then we moved on to get shots around the central plaza are where Cinderella's Castle is located. The Castle pretty much dominates the park. The Castle was closed when we tried to go through, but I did get a few shots of the murals the adorn the walls inside. They depict the story of Cinderella. We got caught in a heavy downpour and found shelter under an umbrella at and outdoor restaurant. I kept the slideshow in chronological order for the most part. We finally left about 5:30pm, it's a large park and we were pretty tired and ready to get off our feet.
The photos were shot in widescreen 16:9 using my Sony RX10 point-n-shoot. The link below will launch the slideshow...once it loads, click the icon at the lower right with arrows pointing outward for full screen viewing then move your cursor off to the side. The photos will advance automatically. The show runs about 12 minutes. Hope you all enjoy the show.

Thanks Paul, we a fun (but expensive) trip. Great to see the win at Wrigley last night.

i just finished viewing your 12 min. video of the magic kingdom and enjoyed it so much.
all of your shots made me feel like i was right there with you. it brought back fun memories
of our trip to disney 8 years ago, but it was mid summer and sooo hot. we had fun though.
we took our 10 year old grandson caden on a 10 day trip to florida, and disney was the
highlight. caden's mom has the worst type of lupus and that year she had a kidney transplant
and a heart valve replacement surgery. she had just gotten out of the hospital and was very
sick and frail. we packed up and drove our grandson to florida...he needed a fun trip as it had
been a hard time and a hard year for him and his mom and dad (our son). i recalled all the places
we saw when i viewed your pictures and especially the delightful and fun time our grandson had.
thank you for posting your wonderful slideshow james. i enjoyed it very much!
i am pretty sure i saw 2 pictures of you too. i think i recognized the hat.

Such a heartwarming story that I enjoyed MT. There's nothing better than family, and nothing better than spending time
on a trip with family. I'm so glad you shared your memory of the Magic Kingdom. Hope Caden's Mom is
doing better. My wife and I (she's in one picture on the scooter....shhh, don't tell her I snuck it in) Yes a couple
featuring little old me. The best of me is at the statue of Roy Disney (Walt's brother) on a bench with Minnie Mouse. That one
meant a lot to me because of the love the Disney Brothers had for children and bringing fun and making dreams alive for kids and
everyone else who remembers being a kid. Our trip to the Magic Kingdom was a repeat of our honeymoon trip 10 years ago.
So glad the slideshow brought back fond memories for you. Disney places have a way of doing that.
