New electric trials bike.
Awful quite. Less sound, more ground as they used to say.

The brand name is Electric Motion. Made in France
I want an electric trials bike too but I'm holding out for the GasGas factory to bring their new electric trials bike to the states. It's 'posed to weigh a LOT less and will have a 5 (or 6) speed transmission with a clutch. The EM has no clutch. Just screw on the throttle and go.

My wish is for a fairly tame, but keep up with traffic, street/commuter bike. An electric bicycle would work except I have one long hill where I have to keep up 35mph going up to keep from getting run over.

Nice shot! One of the charms of the gasoline engine is that you can hear it coming from a long way off, and for street bikes with low visibility, that's important. Presumably an electric street bike would be as silent as electric cars? Off road, no problem. On the road, I'd think you'd want people to hear you coming...

Yes indeed. I don't ride street bikes. To chicken.
Thanks Randy.

I got to ride an electric bicycle up in Topeka KS. Lots of fun.

Thanks Sue. I wished I had the talent and confidence to hop the back wheel like that, without a helmet like this guy. The guy on the EM had no more than, maybe, 5 minutes experience on this bike! I rode it right before he did, but nothing fancy like that.
