Have it and love it! Great all-purpose walk around lens. I'm sure there are some lenses, primes or zooms that offer less coverage, that could beat it in this or that specification, but I don't think anything currently out there can beat it for the combination of versatility, light weight, and price.

I've had mine for over a month now on a D7500 and so far I'm very pleased with the lens. It's easy to use. I like how the controls are setup on the lens for function (the zoom and focus rings are reverse from Nikon). The zoom was a bit stiff when I first got it, but after awhile I like the way it works. It takes great shots. It doesn't have depth of field measurements on it, but I've been able to get some goods shots using the DOF principle. The range of the reach is nothing short of incredible. It's size and weight are good for what it does, but it can feel a bit hefty. I was using a nikon 18-200 when I got this lens. It's now on my DF5200 (backup camera). You do need to hit the MF/AF switch on the lens itself when you use manual focus. Otherwise manual focusing is near impossible and probably not good for the lens. The VR works well and the AF is smooth, quiet and fast.

I hope this helps...

I’m considering this as well for my upcoming D7500 purchase…although my current first choice is the Nikon 18-300. Has anybody tried both?

I have this lens with the D7500 and they work very well together. Though not perfect, you'll not be disappointed with it (see my earlier post for my impressions)...
