I was curious (yellow)

During a walk last week, saw a splotch of yellow (center, first image) but didn't have time to get to it. The peak in the backgound is the Casamanya, in the geographic center of Andorra and a shade under 9000ft, about a 2 hr. hike from this spot. With the leaves starting to fall, I decided I'd better get to it, seeing a couple of old friends, and one new one, along the way. I tried a couple of shots, which I didn't particularly like, finally deciding I needed to scramble about 25 feet up a moderately steep rock face, puppy in tow (and tugging!), to get a decent shot. While not my favorite pic, I'm glad I did it if for no other reason than I would have regretted not trying.

Looks like a whole lot of photogenic stuff packed into a tiny country. Gotta go there someday.

The "best you could do" is wonderful! I think the colour shows up better when mixed with green.

Thanks! I spent a bit more PP time on that one to get more contrast between the green and yellow (normally would've deleted the others, except they helped tell this story). Yeah, perhaps a tad too-self critical, but I would've liked to have found a better composition; however, that would've meant a rather steep ascent or descent, and I was out by myself (and my puppy, but he wouldn't have know what to do, except bark!). That said, I'm not unhappy, since I accomplished my primary goal (get the shot!), and I learned something.
