This is a shot of an old train trestle for the former railroad company known as the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad near Butte, Montana. The trestle is incorporated into a series of public trails that span the nearby mountainsides.
Would that be the Hiawatha trail between Montana and Idaho, Beautifull area!
Hi Bruce. No, it's Thompson Park, which is located nine miles south of Butte, Montana on Hwy 2. It's a recreation area with 25 miles of non-motorized trails for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking (according to the Forest Service) and is co-managed with Butte-Silverbow County. I always wanted too visit the Hiawatha trail, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Nice shot. They did the same thing here with a railroad bridge over the Hudson River. It's now a walkway.
Nice photo. When I downloaded it and viewed full size it was breathtaking. You could see the depth of the area below the bridge. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, Doug, and thanks for looking.
