A calm, clear night was predicted last night so my dog and I went down to Gasworks Park on the north shore of Seattle's Lake Union. Calm, clear nights are a rarity in Seattle. We waited for over a half hour for the water to calm completely. And for whatever reason, there were no boats on the lake. Only under those conditions are these type images possible. You could go to Gasworks Park 50 nights in a row and not get another one like last night. The nearly complete calm only lasted for a couple minutes. The last image is a two image composite. On the right side the water is just starting to get choppy again. Used a Nikon D7100 with an 18x140MM lens. These were 6 second exposures.
Very nice!!
I can just imagine how often your finger hit that button . . .
Beautiful work! These artistic captures have a magical quality!
We have a stunning city and you managed to find a wonderful new aspect. Beautiful and thanks for your patience..
Somebody beat me to but here goes anyway. WOW!!!
Very nice images. Well done. /George
Wonderful photo. I've taken the same shot of the skyline but from near Alki. It's near impossible to get now the bay seems to always have a barge or ship anchored in front of the city. Thanks for sharing.
