This is a step to end to mandated insurance coverage. Finally many in the middle working class will see relief from O’care’s double digit rate increases and be able to buy the coverage they need, rather than a mandated plan.

Only time will tell if any of these steps will ease the health care crisis we have been enduring since long before Obamacare. I like the idea that individuals could join groups to get the group rates. I would like to see insurance sold across state lines with federal instead of state regulations to lower the administrative costs of abiding by 50 different of regulations and open up competition. I am leary of cheap plans that make purchasers think that they have coverage until they need it and find that nothing is covered. Time will tell if this is a step in the right direction or not.

Look beyond your nose. Insurance for the young and healthy will have lower rates and less coverage, while insurance for older Americans and the sick will skyrocket.
