Roger Eugene Ailes (born May 15, 1940) is president of Fox News Channel, chairman of the Fox Television Stations Group. Ailes was a media consultant for Republican presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush and Rudy Giuliani’s first mayoral campaign (1989).

Ailes served as a political consultant for many Republican candidates during the 1960s, '70s, and '80s. His first such job was as media advisor for the Nixon campaign in 1968. He returned to presidential campaigning as a consultant to Ronald Reagan in the latter stages of the 1984 campaign. He is widely credited with having helped coach Reagan to victory in the second presidential debate with Walter Mondale, after aides Richard Darman and David Stockman bungled preparations for the disastrous first debate.
In 1987 and 1988, Ailes was credited (along with Lee Atwater) with guiding George H. W. Bush to victory in the Republican primaries and the later come-from-behind[7] victory over Michael Dukakis. Ailes scripted and (with Sig Rogich) produced the "Revolving Door" ad, as well as all of Bush's broadcast spots in the primary and general-election campaigns.

Does anyone believe Roger Ailes' Fox News is Fair or Balanced?

Or is he and his "news" just shills for the GOP. Smart guy; evil to the bone.

DAN RATHER and CBS "news"
Chris Mathews and MS NBC "news"
The New York Times "news"
Newsweek "news" aka the pr dept for the obama white house
The Washington Post "news
The commie news network "news"
The Los Angeles Times "news"
etc etc etc.

liberals HATE FOX because they do not toe the liberal line unlike the rest of the national media. Also Fox is the ONLY news media to dare question Barry o's administration on fast and furious. The rest of the media wants to give Barry a pass, just like they did on bill ayers, the presidents unrepentant terrorist friend, Rev Jeremiah wright (the Louis Farrakhan of fringe Christianity), and the blatant anti Semites and criminality of the occupy movement.

Well, let me put it this way: Can you name ANYTHING that Fox has broadcasted that was the untruth or an out in out lie ??? Can you name any Fox news broadcaster that has out and out lied like CNN and CBS'Dan Rather has done ??
Yes, Fox IS bias, but then again so is CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC and the nortorious Government funded "Public Broadcasting Co" ??
Who has constantly ( for years) the HIGHEST listing ratings of ALL the Newscdasting Copanies ??? Why, I do think its Fox...
What people donlt like of Fox is that they will say and broadcast what is ACTUALLY GOIING ON and do it factually... The trouble with people who don't like Fox is thats NOT WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR !!!!

First and foremost the fact that one media organization is biased in any direction does not justify any other organization's bias. Read that last sentence again before you read further and be sure you understand it.

I am sorry to disagree but the News Hour on PBS is without reproach regarding bias. It is not nor has it ever been a media tool to broadcast a specific agenda. If you watch the News Hour and a story seems to be biased against your personal belief or another broadcasting organization's take on the issue then it is YOUR perception that is biased not the News Hour's. The mere fact that you think PBS is biased indicates that you have been entrenched in some mire of misinformation. Please do not attempt to defend yourself there is no defense that will sway my opinion of your position. If you attempt to justify your position please reread the first sentence. Any attempt at justification will just enhance my position that you are misinformed. Media organizations are in the business of selling advertising not in the business of reporting the what they call the news. They just want viewers and they play on human nature to get them. So if you watch any broadcast and find yourself nodding your head you have been "gotten" they own your ass and you like it.

There's a new truth salve available...you apply it LIBERALLY to the canker sore of the Republican platform and the party disappears.

Excuse me for adding a liberal dose of humor to an otherwise tedious discussion...You did notice the laughing cat under my name?

Roger Ailes has no ethics...that is all anyone need say. It is a truthful and brief statement.

and dan rather does? and the Kennedy boys had ethics? LBJ and the missing texas ballot boxes? chris mathews calling conservative women columists sluts and whores is ethical? Let's talk about Bill "alley cat" Clintons ethics. At least Richard Nixon never cheated on and loved Pat Nixon dearly!!! Unlike Ted Kennedy, roger ailes car never killed anyone, nor did he wait 9 hours untill he sobered up before reporting the "accident" to the police.

Do not attack the Kennedy's, they got their money the old fashioned way. Bootlegging.

I thought this thread concerned Roger Ailes...I mentioned no one else...why are you so defensive?

I merely stated that Roger Ailes has no ethics, I made no comparison to any person living or dead. The introduction of other people into conversation however, ethical or unethical they may be only cements my position since your comparison to the others does not deny and in fact, supports my statement that Roger Ailes has no ethics.

Further, in so doing you are either acknowledging the lack of ethics as acceptable to you by use of this comparison or are you agreeing with me that Roger Ailes has no ethics. Which is it? Is it okay for Roger Ailes to have no ethics because some dead politician drove a car off a bridge? Is that how you really feel, it is okay for Roger Ailes to have no ethics because some other news caster has no ethics. Where do you draw the line on ethics? How far is too far? Ethics is not scrimmage line that moves up and down the field. Someone or some action is either ethical or it is not. The fact that Roger Ailes has no ethics is a given by most reasonable people even if they work for the man. He plays by a separate set of rules of his own divination. Inside his head I am sure that he thinks he is ethical but then again so did Adolf Hitler...how is that for a comparison?

I have seen nothing in this thread that proves Roger Ailes has no ethics. Please substantiate your claim.
