Wow, you nailed it with your images! I enjoyed seeing them.
Wow, you got up close and personal with the Blue Angels. Outstanding. Thanks for sharing.
Wow...what beautiful captures.
Great shots, except #3 which was at too high a shutter speed. The propellant arc would look better as a blurred disk as opposed to appearing stationary. I pan the airplane and use 125th for a shutter speed.
Great shots! I thoroughly admire great aircraft in flight shots.
As a purely unnecessary aside, in 1987 I fell through a skylight on the roof of a seven story hotel building while making pictures of the Air Force Thunderbirds. Sheared the lens mount screws off of my 70-200 f/2.8 but once the lens mount was replaced both camera and lens functioned well. Someone who saw the incident said the camera appeared to bounce about a foot off the flagstone floor and the lens then separated from the FE-2 body.
Alas, I didn't fare as well and spent 14 weeks in intensive care and about a year more in physical therapy.
I purchased an EOS 630 (for the autofocus)and a couple of lenses and my therapist concocted a makeshift shoulder stock of heat moldable splint material and secured a remote shutter button to my good hand with a velcro strap, enabling me to shoot a bit during my recovery.
Excellent shots. I miss the vintage cars and car show that they eliminated after a 17 year run this year because it wasn't profitable. I love San Diego and Coronado Island.
