My future son-in-laws father passed away yesterday. This poor gentleman lived in a nursing home so had no good pictures. I am trying to scan and then drop an old family photo, then crop out his sister's head at his shoulder. I hate photoshop! Besides constant cloning problems (it clones for an inch and then doesn't clone!) I can't get the slope of his shoulders correct. My daughter is at the funeral home right now. Can anyone help me get this right? I need one in color and the other in black and white. I will even email the pic (cherihorn@gmail.com) and you can email it back, if you like. THANK YOU!
Signed, close to tears!

That's crop, not drop, the photo.
Why not just a little tighter crop

I wasn't sure how the newspaper would crop it, so wasn't sure how much I could crop it.
Thank you! It does look better.

I did not have to crop a whole lot and I just got rid of some of the graininess so it is a little smoother
I'm not great at this, but hope this helps. I tried to remove some of the grain, and extended his sholder out to the edge. Sorry for your loss, I lost a son a month ago and know how hard it is to deal with all these preperations.
