Our family just got back from a week long stay in Moab, Utah. While there we mountain biked, and did some climbing. This is a photo of my oldest daughter posing on a climbing route while being 5 months pregnant. I think this photo is rather "artsy" looking. I love the colors of her outfit and how well it is in harmony with the rock and environment. Please download it for more detail.

That is amazing how she blends with the rocks and back ground. She looks at home! Absolutely a great capture, I love it!

Thanks for asking. But maybe I am old school and where I come from the welfare of the fetus is most important and not necessarily the thrills. With many these days all things practical seems to have disappeared. There is a cost to everything.

Phil, she is a natural climber and a yoga instructor as well as being into fashion. It all came together in this photo. Thanks for loving it Phil.

paulrph1, if you are trying to say that since she is pregnant, she shouldn't be climbing, I must disagree with you. I have been climbing for over 40 years and am very familiar with the possibilities of injury and potential dangers. In this particular case my daughter was being top roped which is the safest way to climb because if she falls, the belayer can catch her right away. My daughter also had the harness on in a way that if a fall would occur, the pressure from the harness would be above and also below the infant and no pressure would be on the baby. This is my daughter, and fathers in general have a distinct inherent instinct to protect their daughters from anything and everything. I feel like I have that same feelings and would never subject my daughter (or baby in her tummy) to any dangers that could harm either of them. Thanks paulrph1 for your understanding and concern.

THanks so very much Clicker2014. I agree with all of your wonderful comments on this photo. I may even have an enlargement made of it.

Thanks paulrph1 for your concern. Just FYI, neither she or her sister who was belaying her took any falls and everything turned out great. Maybe we just got lucky this time?!?!

Great image. If that was me up there you would need a high shutter speed 'cause I'd be shaking. Your daughter on the other hand looks like she is one with her environment, very much at ease.
