I have a Tamron 18-200 f3.5-6.3---Will not auto focus, I've tried everything. What would be the problem.
Have you double checked the switch on the lens? And the switch on the camera?
And clean contact points on lens and body . . .

First even though it sounds funny. check the two switches on the base of the barrel
I often find that Tamron lens are easy to nudge out of position when handling the lens in every day ops.
Next remove the lens clean the contacts on the bottom of the lens and also in the camera.
The contacts may have gotten dirt oil or some king of trash on them

Auto focus works with my order lens
Unless it is over 6 years old or gray market contact Tamron. They might know a little about their lenses.

If the AF works with your other lens please try the cleaning tipe we sent you.
Tamron makes good lens and a small amount of dirt, debri and oil can bugger a lens up.
Have you tried to manually set focus??
Does it work??
then the points need cleaning.

It would be useful to know what kind of camera you have.
