So I took a few photos last night (handheld) and didn't really expect them to come out. I did darken the photos etc ..but couldn't believe how many ; and how big the "Craters" were on the moon.

Yeah, some of those craters are bigger than the pot holes in the roads in New York state. Some are even big enough to bury a cadillac.

Good Afternoon Barbie I was actually on sport/auto , handheld -but info suggests:

Canon 400mm ISO 400 f/5.6 1/160

Yes, the moon is a big target. The earth is even bigger, so that has no doubt been hit many more times. Fortunately, Jupiter's gravitational pull has saved the earth from many collisions.
