I set up the Canon T3i on a tripod. I attached the 500mm fixed lense onto a 2x tele adaptor. I made an aluminum strap to ballance the camera and long lense. I use the remote button on a 2 foot cord to eliminate camera shake.

I did the same thing with my 400mm and a 2x converter. With my crop sensor, it was the equivalent of a 1200mm. Awesome photos. :)
