Here's my first post and a rare attempt at "Street Photography. I shot this with my little 12Mp Nikon P7800 on Auto as just a snapshot then decided it had some mood worth critique. Unfortunately the sun shining through the trees left those distracting white spots on the couple's backs but that's the chance we take. I'll keep trying.

It's a good first post. Send more. I like the contrast between foreground and background. And the composition is good. BTW, I have a P7800 that served me well on a China trip.

I might have another one or two for "Street Photography". I'll try to get them posted soon.

I also like the contrast between the foreground and the distant mountains. The river valley gives it depth and perspective. The people are well placed and don't worry about the dappled sunlight. Street photography is a fluid / dynamic thing so folks are pretty forgiving about little aberrations that are part of the ongoing situation.

Actually, to me, it is a pretty good capture ... I would have tried to get rid of the sun spots though ... can you shoot raw with that camera?

I don't see the spots of light as a big distraction. That is what you had to work with. I think your choice to partially wash out the background was a good one. It brings us back to the couple which is what this photo is about. Well done.

I tried shooting RAW for awhile and couldn't seem to justify the additional steps and memory it required for the kind of lazy, casual shooting I've been doing. Maybe I should give it another try. Thanks for the encouragement.
