nice!! if i could make photo's like those i would be happy to die tomorrow. i can't imagine myself being that lucky ; let alone good enough. but hope some day i will be able to match it to you good photographers here. i read every night, these forum q's and downloaded shots; some times i do think i can make a shot as good or better, but that is so rare that i am happy to just accept that many of you; maybe most are just so much better than i. but that just fires up my interest and desire to be able to post shots better than i believed i could. this forum is capable of aiding us all to do better; though must admit i would really like to see some shots more often posted by you more experienced members. that is how we learn. see the shot and just explain your settings, and why those. i get great pleasure from seeing works done by better photographers; who would not!

I was out experimenting one night and caught this meteor. I was using a setting that I would never normally use - 2.8 open for 53 seconds, ISO 100. I would probably use a f4 - f8 for your star trails.
