RAVPower Filehub WD03

I'm trying to figure out my new WD03 Filehub toy. I can connect it by Wi-Fi to my iPhone 7. I plug in a SD card and a USB thumb drive, then open the Filehub app on the iPhone.
How do I transfer images from the SD card to The USB drive? I'm on a Windows 10 PC. I'm going on a trip and the idea is to use the WD03 as a backup battery and to back up images.

Thanks,

Sam

Question - have you tried what you described?

Connect IOS or android device to Filehub's wi-fi
Launch the FileHub app
You should now see both the SD chip and USB device.
Copy as desired.

We just returned from a trip and it worked great.

Connecting the filehub to an internet hotspot was not so easy. It worked with some hotel hot spots but not with others. So we simply disconnected from the filehub and reconnected to hotel when we wanted to get internet access.

I've used mine as a battery, but I haven't gotten into the other features. Another project for another day.

I went round and round with Fav customer tech support. There are two versions of their app. One, suggested by the website that they recommend you move from to their new version, Filehub Plus. Problem is that Fav neglected to provide any support whatsoever. You find out about by emailing them and asking for help. 5hatnwould be well and good if they operated similarly, but they don’t. Here is what I was sent to help:

1. Please download the "FileHub Plus" APP on the APP Store.
2. Long press the power button for 3-5 seconds until the battery lights and the wifi light are on.
3. Insert the SD card or USB external HDD.
4. Open “Set up” on your phone or tablet and enter into “Wifi Setting”
5. Choose “FileHub – xxxx” to join, the original password is “11111111”(8*1)
6. Open the downloaded APP "Filehub Plus"
7. You can read the data on your SD card / USB External HDD (from "My FileHub")
8. Use the "Copy", "Cut" and "Paste" buttons under the tool icon list, you can transfer files.
9. If you want to connect an existed WiFi, please open the setting - Network Setting - Internet, then choose the existed WiFi and enter the relative password.

What step 8 is saying is select the source (sd card?) Select files for copying or moving, then hit “copy” or “cut” under the tool icon. Then go back and select the target device (thumb drive?). Open and hit “paste” located under the same tool icon the files.

In my opinion, the app could be a lot more intuitive. If you continue to have issues, definitely contact Fav’s tech support. They may suggest a firmware update. If so, for that, you definitely will benefit from additional guidance.

I don't see either SD card or USB thumb device, That's why I'm asking for help.
There's Videos, Photos, Music and at the bottom Documents, File/Folder and System.
I tried just about all buttons but no success.

Right, I'll use it for a backup battery to charge my iPhone as needed. I'm using the GPSPro app because my new Olympus EM-1 Mk2 has a clunky OIShare app.
So, yes, another project for another day.

Thanks

Google the device and call customer se4vice. That’s what they are there for.

I have used the App successfully a couple of times but I find the Browser link is a little easier and more intuitive. When you have you WIFI link set up, open your internet browser and in the address area type HTTP://10.10.10.254, and hit Enter. This will then open a link which asks for your username and password. Your username will already show, (from memory its Admin), and you can leave the password blank. Then hit Enter and you will see the browser app. I see you are using an Iphone. You can use this in the same way as set out above. I bought it for the same reason you did and I use it with a 1tb External hard drive plugged into the USB port. When I finally go home from my weekend of shooting I then simply connect the HDD to my computer and transfer the files as normal.

I've used mine with both a thumb drive and a 1tb Passport Drive. I find the transfer speeds to be a little slow especially for big raw files. You also?

Yep, But beggars cant be choosers. At least with this setup I can have both the SD card and the HDD holding the files. Just a peace of mind thing.
