I have really enjoyed the new faces on the Challenges (and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way). A little bit of history you might find interesting. The Challenges began 5 or 6 years ago (lhammer likely knows just when) with one person who challenged herself to learn her camera and invited others to come along. Early years we were able to post articles related to the challenge - it was very education oriented with challenges related to aperture, ISO, depth of field, lighting, white balance, exploring shutter speed etc. Over the years the format changed to 2 challenges/week w every Sunday a "Freebie" to post your choice. The idea is to try and shoot something fresh for the challenge topic, but that isn't always possible for folks and we welcome participation regardless. We have had 3 meet-up "Paloozas" over the years and it has been super to meet some of the faces behind the avatars: 2013: Denver 2015: Portland, ME and February of this year: Phoenix. 2019???? Some of the long time participants are lhammer, Clicker, catgirl, Roadrunner, markar, dane, irenejb, judyjuul, plessner, mgstrawn, photophile, inightng, bushido, william, Lorima, creativ Simon, pjreed, RichardQ, JoeV, littlebiddle, Rufe, me and others I didn't mean to leave put. Sometimes folks we haven't "seen" in a while pop back in. This is a long time to keep a thread going and it has been a great learning tool. It has encouraged many of us to try things we'd never have considered. It is wonderful to have folks jump in, start posting and help out w the hosting. WELCOME!
