Yep. And my back hurts less and my bank account is in better shape. Of course I can only print 20x30 without fancy software.

Shouldn’t be an arguement - each format has its strengths and applications.

Great, so there is no difference between full frame and crop images downsampled to 2-3mp and viewed on a screen. Better comparison would be to make 8x12 or 10x15 prints. I am pretty sure you will see a difference when you have to magnify the crop image 50% more to get the same size print. Just sayin'

In 2013 I moved from a crop camera - D300S, 12mp, to a full frame camera D700, 12mp and that was the first thing I noticed. I had intended to keep the D300S as a backup, but the difference in image quality, judged by looking at prints, was too great. So I sold the D300S and got a D3S - for it's high ISO performance. But at least the image quality was closer to the D700, which became my backup camera.

From the article: "two different Sony cameras—the full-frame Sony a9 and the crop sensor Sony a6500, both 24MP"

Since when is the Sony A9 a 24MP camera???? Nothing accurate to read here if the writer doesn't even have a clue what the cameras he is using actually are or do.

Is Sony wrong? From Sony's specs on the α9: "Approx. 24.2 megapixels". That is pretty close to 24MP. And the same spec is given for the α6500.

Sorry, my bad. I was thinking of the A99II at 42MP. I do remember reading that the new a9 was only 24MP, they downsized the sensor to get a 20fps shooting rate.

This is just like Nikon vs Canon. every one trying to justify why they paid so much for their cameras... I say spend as much as you can afford and be happy with it.

By going with the A7II I got the full frame and Zeiss lens for just three hundred more than the crop.

I was never aware of one (argument that is), I know questions exist about each, but that is news to me!
