The only way to get a fully realized alien planet is in animation. Actors have to fit in the suits.

My favorite Star Trek is "The Voyage Home." The visiting aliens were looking for Humpback Whales, not humans. Fits right in with Arthur C. Clarke's RAMA series. If you're tired of bi-pedal humanoid aliens the RAMA series is three books.

I read Rendezvous With Rama, didn't know there were sequels.

By bad. There are a total of four RAMA books. They are: 1). Rendezvous with Rama, 2). Rama II, 3). The Garden of Rama, and 4). Rama Revealed.

Each book explores deeper into new sections of the Rama vehicles as they slingshot off the sun.

If you send me a PM, I have an extra, brand new, unread copy of Rama Revealed I will send you.
