Interesting approach--he almost appears made of stone!

I like how the angle of the light emphasizes the unevenness of his skin. The brightness of the light on his shoulder competes with his face. My attention shifts back and forth. I think I would have liked the camera angle more to the right. It looks like you thought this out well and did a good job with the photo.

I like the way this was cropped. Not all photos of people can be cropped like this, but it works well on this photo.

Pusher, thanks!
A stone-like appearance was definately not the intention. The intention was human form, body sculpting.
But after you mention it, it does have a somewhat of a granite like look about it because of the roughness of the skin and the freckly specs.
Thanks for the input.

Very artistic photograph and the way you cropped it really helps keep that creativity alive in this one. Excellent!

This is a very high impact image and perfect in B&W. Not the prettiest of subjects but I like it. As there is a lot more detail happening on the right I would crop slightly the left (where there is far less) to balance it a little more - almost square format. I think it would "jump" more as a as a square image as it would create the illusion of the perfect balance (to me anyway). It's a very interesting picture and poses many questions and tight cropping works so well with this style of photography. Terrific picture
