So glad you posted Teri O. The cloud shots (p6) are amazing. I always enjoy your contributions.

Thank you Sands.... I am partial to clouds..I'm a cloud watcher and have tons of pictures of cloudy skys... used to do the weather for the Park Service so had to learn about clouds, what they do, how they form, etc. , and of course the weather instruments.. it was fun. Here's a last cloud offer:

High desert mtn's just north of Hwy 40, storm rolling over the mts, and we're trying to stay ahead of it..

WOW! Love the image of the cloud overtaking the mountain. You're fortunate to have so much topography where you are. I love the mountains, and always plan trips there (regardless of where) when I can. Thanks again for posting.

Our scenic view off the back deck yesterday at twilight. It wasn't raining, so I don't know where the rainbow came from.

Sher.... I shoot both raw and jpg at the same time. This way I have the jpg thumbnail to see what that photo actually is. Raw doesn't show up as thumbnails, just a file with a number. Get a few hundred of those and you'd have to open each one just to know what that paticular picture looks like. I don't know if any photo software will show a raw thumbnail. None of mine do.

I do like it and since my plan A DREAM camera (a canon D7) and my B DREAM camera (a D5) are out of grasp I'd like to try plan C the Rebel T2i that might take me a year to save for! But this is giving me good experience on an SLR. I am limited with only having the 1 lens it came with. But I do like it for many things as I love my Canon SX30 for many other things. They both have their advantages as well as disadvantages

Is anybody up that has dr or nursing skills dealing with second degree burns?

p29 LImited experience. But burns on hands and face are very painful and swell because they are full of nerve endings. Just a breeze can cause pain as the protective skin layer is gone and nerve endings are raw. I don't know if/what is best to put on them. Salves are not always good for several reasons. I'd say look at WebMD or even call the ER where he went.

Thank you Pat

I have no nursing skills but I google everything, maybe that will help till you get someone that knows.

I googled - thanks though. My son has week old second degree burns that have peeled and we don't know what to do. He went to the hospital when it first happened but he doesn't have a dr to follow up with so we are lost now....

My son got burned when he was young... They had me slather it in eucerin and keep it wrapped until he was almost healed. I would take him in and they would soak the burn and take all the dead skin off and then slather it and wrap it...He healed fine and didnt even scar....

soak it in water? right now all the skin is gone, it peeled pretty much in one piece, it is raw right now, he has had it wrapped and been putting some kind of cream on it they gave him at hospital but right now he can't put anything on it because of the skin peeling like it did. It was one big blister til now... His face is actually looking like it is healing very nicely but that arm is ouch for lack of anything more descriptive - thanks for answering, you and GG - anything is helpful at this point.

p32 Janice, slather the cream on the dressing and then put the dressing on the site.

will do, thanks, sorry to have bothered everyone with this - I was kinda freaking out a little not knowing what to do
