Took these photos in the Vatican Museum as were leaving with hundreds of people during Easter this year. Beautiful staircase, didn't really have the time to set up and compose. Loved to have gotten in the center and shot straight up, sure they wouldn't have let me hang from the ceiling . No post processing, just the original JPEG photos, miffed I wasn't shooting in RAW. Sony 6300/10mm (15mm equiv), 1/60, f4, ISO 200...... Good, bad indifferent, appreciate comments about anything, composition, color, lighting, flash, post processing, etc.
Wow! Impressive! I would love to see it in person!
I'm going back but remember, Rome is an absolute Madhouse during holidays, especially Easter, avoid at all cost that time frame. Also a great place for photography, so many sights.
It makes me think of a nautilus. Beautiful staircase.

Blaster34, you have a great set of photos here! Wow! Love the composition. It really sucks the viewer into the photos.
I took the first one and did some PP work on it but wanted to get your permission to post it first. Interested?
Glad you like them, the architecture and colors were awesome...Please feel free to do anything you want with them, they're just personal pics for my enjoyment...the people there were everywhere, waited a few minutes to limit the number in the frame but eliminating tourists while there, an impossibility...unless I broke in a t night

The looking up image is perfect in every way.
Thanks, appreciate the compliment....wish I could have gotten a little wider view. This and the dome of the Pantheon were truly awesome but limited by my lens/camera...guess I needed a 'Fish-eye' to get it all in

Hahahahahcaaaa......I don't think you want to break in at night. I have an idea to get more in the photo and that is to take several shots and stitch the photos together.......just a thought. When you don't have a fisheye, you have to think of other alternatives! I'm attaching my slight alteration in PP work of your first staircase photo. You should be very proud of your photos, they really do look great! BTW, I really do like the people in the photo......it adds interest and also scale.
Thanks and rxactly, should have been quicker but this was on the fly, pushed by those darn tourists, lol...next time. The Pantheon would have been great for that, next time.
That looks great, really appreciate it...can't wait to try it again, another translant/repositioning cruise ending in Rome, it'll definitely please the wife
The download is absolutely gorgeous with what you did, thanks
