To my eye this kind of image is far better in colour than B&W. The lighting and exposure are all good, but if it was mine I'd ease off on the sharpening a bit, or crank back the Details. If the fur on the lower part of the chest bothers you, perhaps some local sharpening and/or contrast might sort it.

Thanks R.G. I'll try backing off the sharpness a bit, it might fit the intended mood a bit better. Part of the sharpness effect, as you probably know, is from the flash that was used to light this shot taken in almost total darkness. (spotted with the guide's flashlight)
I love this. I'd almost die for this sharpness! I wouldn't do a thing to it. I love the look in the eye and the expression. She looks alert but calm. I like that you included part of her front legs, as that grounds her nicely. I would say well done.

Thanks, Kathy. I did try softening it a bit but it didn't improve it. I viewed this at 100% and up and did not see any sign of oversharpening.
