They also seem to be great targets for some people. This sign makes me wonder about the smarts of some individuals who venture in the forests. It's along a well traveled road and judging from the angle of the shot, the bullets were traveling dangerously close to the road.

In the Chevy Chase movie "Animal Farm", two local boys were in the habit of stealing signs. One sign was considered "MINT"........no bullet holes! :)

The sign may be close to the road but it's a rural dirt road.

Yes, it makes you wonder. Was there anyone within range behind the sign?
For those who are interested, a quick search with Google will get you sellers of real traffic signs. I have a few in my garage. You might want to keep the receipt, just in case the police see them.
